2:3 defeat: Serie D is a long way off for Bozner FC

In the second leg in a week in Sardinia, the Bolzano team, who had to do without Ceravolo on Sunday, need at least a 2-0 win to still get into Serie D. Things initially looked more than good for the Toccoli troop in the summer temperatures on the Talferwiesen. After 19 minutes, a Bocchio goal was disallowed due to an offside position, and two minutes later Bertoldi put a Bocchio through ball into the net via the inside post to make it 1-0.

Budoni was then repeatedly dangerous on the flanks, but the young Bolzano defense acted very calmly. When Bocchio missed the possible 2-0 in front of Trini, Mastio had the best chance for the Sardinians to equalize, but after a wonderful dribble he drove the ball into the third floor in front of Kaneider.

But the guests still managed to equalize: three minutes had passed after the break when Murgia was there and scored to make it 1-1. Budoni then got stronger and brought about the decision within just three minutes with a Sartor brace (76th and 79th). Bertoldi ensured that the spark of hope for promotion was still alive, as he stayed cool in a one-on-one duel with Trini shortly before the end and scored the 2-3 goal. But it wasn't enough for more.
