5-0 win: FC Südtirol celebrates in the penalty festival

In the home game against the second-to-last team in the table, FCS coach Zanetti had to do without the suspended Baldan and the injured Zanchi. Martin Erlic made his debut in defense, while Cia moved back into the starting line-up in midfield.

FC Südtirol stepped on the accelerator right from the start and created their first chances through Gyasi and Cia. In the 13th minute the ball hit the net for the first time: Luca Berardocco scored from the penalty spot. Shortly before, Gyasi had been brought down in the penalty area after a fine ball relay. The game then petered out - before Gyasi appeared again in the 39th minute. He played the ball to Rocco Costantino, who held out his head and increased the score to 2-0. The center forward was there again just three minutes later when he directed a Tait cross into the net. The FCS went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead.

After the break, the home team continued in the same manner. In the 60th minute, Bondioli only knew how to help himself in the Santarcangelo penalty area with his hand. The referee pointed to the spot again. This time defender Paolo Frascatore was allowed to go - and he also converted dry. Just nine minutes later, the penalty festival began: Substitute Luca Oneto was brought down in the penalty area. The ball was now handed over to the busy Emmanuel Gyasi, who followed his colleagues' example and confidently increased the score to 5-0. In the final phase, the FCS shifted down two gears without giving Santarcangelo any significant chances to score. The biggest win of the season was in the clear.

With this confident “threesome”, FC Südtirol is taking a big step towards the top half of the table.

5-0 win: FC Südtirol celebrates in the penalty festival

FC Südtirol returned to winning ways in an impressive manner on Sunday afternoon. The Zanetti team shot Santarcangelo 5-0 from the field, with three goals coming from the penalty spot alone. It was the highest FCS win in the third division.
