Red alert at Virtus Bozen

With just one point from the last five games, Virtus Bozen has now slipped to third from last place - actually that would be a play-out place, but due to the current situation the Talferstadt team would be relegated straight away. Why? The gap to 13th and first play-out place is more than seven points, namely eight, which is why Virtus is not allowed into the play-out according to the regulations and would be relegated straight away.

It is clear that the Lomi team wants to do everything they can to at least save themselves in the relegation games. However, the situation is currently precarious as several supports will be missing on Thursday against Caravaggio. Hannes Kiem has to watch two games because of his red card on Sunday, while Timpone and Majdi were also taken out of action for one game each by the sports referee. Danieli and Bustamante are missing due to injuries, while there is also a big question mark over Niang's appearance.

Caravaggio is currently in no man's land in the table: with 43 points, nothing is possible either up or down. For Virtus Bozen, however, it's all about survival. The game starts on Thursday at 15 p.m.
