A “threesome” should also be achieved against Pordenone in the championship

In sports jargon it is often said that after a successful experience you want to “take the flow with you”. And that's exactly what FC Südtirol has decided to do when they welcome this team from Friuli-Venezia Giulia at home in the Drusus Stadium on Saturday, just four days after the narrowest possible cup win against Pordenone. The White-Reds have been waiting for a victory in the championship for almost two months, although they were mostly convincing in terms of play. Nevertheless, four of the last eight games ended with a point split, and another four times Hannes Fink & Co. were left empty-handed after 90 minutes. But that should change on Saturday.

However, the statistics speak in favor of the “Ramarri”. In six direct duels in the Lega Pro, Pordenone retained the upper hand three times. The FCS won two matches and the points were shared once. The team of former FC Südtirol coach Bruno Tedino only picked up one point in the last two championship games. But with a total of 17 points, Pordenone is only a length behind the top trio Bassano Virtus, Venezia and Sambenedettese.

Hannes Fink is fit again The fifth-placed team also has a very experienced team, with numerous former Serie A players. In attack, Bassoli & Co. have to be particularly careful of Rachid Arma, who leads the top scorer list with eight goals. So the task won't be easy.

FCS coach William Viali cannot draw on the full squad. Both the long-term injured Matteo Vito Lomolino and left-back Daniele Sarzi are not available to the trainer. Captain Hannes Fink, however, has recovered from a minor muscle injury and will most likely be in the starting line-up. Whether the FCS was able to carry the flow from the narrow cup victory - we will see on Saturday from 14.30 p.m. when this interesting match of the 10th round kicks off.

After the 2-1 win after extra time on Tuesday in the Lega Pro Italian Cup in Pordenone, William Viali's team tasted blood. After eight games without a win in the championship, FC Südtirol is now looking for a win for the first time since August 27th - in front of their own audience.
