Away defeat: The FCS lost 0-1 in Novara

The home team had the first good chance, but Freddi's shot was easy prey for Melgrati (5th). Just 60 seconds later, the FCS goalie was able to stop the onrushing Evacuo at the very last second before Melgrati fended off a free kick from Garufo with his fists.

In the 12th minute, Evacuo finished after a mistake by Kiem, but didn't hit the ball correctly. The first opportunity for the FCS came in the 17th minute, when Bertoni circled a free kick dangerously into the middle, where a Novara defender cleared it in front of the ready-to-shoot Firiegeller. After the subsequent corner, Filehner took the shot, which Tozzo was able to defuse with a brilliant effort.

The FCS is becoming more offensive

Then it was the home team's turn again, but Evacuo's shot didn't pose too much of a test for Melgrati before Bianchi hit the ball just over the FCS goal with a wonderful volley in the 31st minute.

In return, the White-Reds could have taken the lead if Branca's pass to Filehner had been more precise. In this way, Vicari was able to clarify the matter in dire need. In the 36th minute, Fischnelller brought the ball from the side into the middle, but Marras could no longer get to the ball.

A little later this first half came to an end, in which the home team initially had more of the game before the FCS played a little stronger in the last quarter of an hour.

Cold shower after the restart

The second half began with an ice-cold shower for the guests, as the hard-working Evacuo put Novara in the lead straight after the restart. Corazza set the scene for the Novara attacker with the number "9", who cleverly broke away from Tagliani and gave Melgrati the advantage with a diagonal shot.

In the 53rd minute, Kiem lost out in a running duel with Corazza, but Melgrati was on the post and directed the shot out of the goal. On the following corner, Bianchi deflected Martinelli's header so that it went over the goal. It was lucky for FC Südtirol that it wasn't 2-0 for the home team after this action.

Just four minutes later, the eye-catching Corazza tried a lob, which overcame Melgrati, but then lofted the ball just over the goal so that it rested on the goal net. After a little more than an hour, Gonzales, who had just been substituted, appeared dangerously in front of Melgrati, but was unable to beat the FCS keeper with an inaccurate diagonal shot.

In the 73rd minute, FC Südtirol got the supposed equalizer with Lendric. Supposedly because the goal was not given because the attacker was in an offside position. Ten minutes later, Martin crossed the ball into the middle, where the alert Vicari was able to intercept the ball in front of goal scorer Lendric. It was the last attack of a much too harmless FCS offensive, which then surrendered to its fate, i.e. the second away defeat.

Away defeat: The FCS lost 0-1 in Novara

On the tenth matchday of the Lega Pro, the white-reds suffered their second away defeat in Piedmont and their fourth defeat of the season overall. FC Südtirol's offensive was only able to set very few accents in the Piola Stadium. Evacuo's goal right after the break was decisive.
