Bailey sees being a Bavarian as a stepping stone

Leverkusen (SID) Bundesliga shooting star Leon Bailey sees the first division soccer team Bayer Leverkusen as the ideal springboard for a great international career. "I'm young and I've seen a lot of young players who took too big a step too early and failed. Leverkusen is perfect for me," the 20-year-old Jamaican told Sport Bild. The Bayer offensive player is one of the great discoveries of the current season and has already scored nine Bundesliga goals. "Many great players have benefited from their time in Leverkusen. I want to develop and can then take the next step at some point," emphasized Bailey. "If I move to a really big, top European club, then the people at that club want me I already know him. In the DFB Cup semi-finals, the Rhinelanders will face record cup winners Bayern Munich. Bailey: "If we get to the cup final, we'll win it. We promise!"
