He was a girl for everything. Wrote bilingual press releases. Was the stadium announcer at home games. Snapped photos at the same time. Passionately gave the latest status of his CF Südtirol live on the radio. And at the end of the game you would find him with his video camera to collect the first statements from the players: We are talking about Pietro Perez, who has volunteered for CF Südtirol for the past ten years and has played a key role in the club's success was involved. The biggest successes were certainly the two promotions to the women's Serie A.

Now Pietro Perez is stepping back. Some time ago he informed the club and the sponsors that he would be leaving the club as a committee member on June 30th. The reasons for this are quite simple: Outside of football life, Pietro Perez is responsible for the Bolzano City and Laives area at the South Tyrol Trade and Services Association (hds). In this context, Perez could be promoted up the career ladder within the association and he simply needs more time for this.

Perez also gives personal reasons: “My daughter plays volleyball in the 1st division at SSV Brixen and always has her games on Saturday afternoons, exactly when CF Südtirol is also playing. I was always at the CFS, but in the future I would like to see more of my daughter's games.” But Pietro Perez can't stop himself. “Maybe I’ll support the club until the end of the year if they still need me. But I hope that another committee member will take over my area.”

Menegoni and Pasqualini before moving to Unterland Damen

There also seems to be a change taking place within the team. Several players will leave the club. It is rumored that Martina Menegoni and Chiara Pasqualini have been hired by promoted Unterland Damen. The future of national goalkeeper Katja Schroffenegger, who looked after the CFS goal in the second half of the season, is still unclear.

The CF Südtirol wants to bake smaller rolls this season and replace the gaps that have arisen with players from their own U-19 team. Paola Leoni, who took over from Klaus Schuster, who was surprisingly dismissed, shortly before the end of the championship last season, was confirmed as coach. But even she couldn't prevent relegation from Serie A.
