Pure chaos: the final second leg of the Copa Libertadores postponed again

Due to the consequences of the attack on the Boca Junios team bus in Buenos Aires, the second leg at Argentine city rivals River Plate on Sunday was postponed to an as yet undetermined date.

The game was actually supposed to be played on Saturday. After an attack by River fans on the Boca team bus, the game was postponed twice and then rescheduled for a day, so the game was scheduled for Sunday at 21pm CET (Sports News reported) .

On Sunday, the South American football association CONMEBOL postponed the match to an as yet undetermined date. The association announced this on Sunday evening.

“The conditions for a final are not present because the teams are not in equal condition,” CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez said at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

A new date is to be set at a meeting of all those involved on Tuesday at the CONMEBOL headquarters in Luque, Paraguay. Shortly before the cancellation, Boca Juniors had already requested another postponement.
