St. Martin (Coach: Roberto Cortese)

The “Mortiner” finished the first half of the season with 17 points. Relegation is far from over, but since Robert Cortese took over the helm from the sacked Paul Pircher, things have changed for the better in St. Martin. Although the Passeirians have the weakest attack in the league (with only ten goals scored) and have a very short squad, the Bolzano coach has brought last year's runners-up back up to speed. “It's no miracle yet, staying in the league is a long way off. But from a psychological point of view we have taken big steps, the team has self-confidence again and is no longer afraid. That was very important, now we can set new goals. We still have to improve away from home. We could have gotten eight or nine points more if we had performed like we did away from home like we did at home. Then relegation would be within immediate reach. Now we're looking forward to the cup final against St. Georgen on Saturday. We're in the last hole, I'm having trouble fielding eleven players. But this is a general problem that we have to face in winter. If we don't get new players, St. Martin will be relegated. Our problem is not the quality, but the number of players. We’ll see what the club will do.”

Plose (Coach: Matthias Regele) The Eisacktalers are in second-to-last place in the table with eleven points. With 36 goals conceded, Plose is the league's shooting gallery. And the St. Andrä club's weakness away from home is also blatant: Fischer & Co. were only able to score a single point away from home. “The first half of the season was certainly marked by the injury to our regular goalkeeper Armin Markart. This failure has brought a lot of uncertainty to our team. But I have seen an upward trend in the last few games; we are playing better in some cases than last season. At times we were able to keep up with many teams who, like Ahrntal, were much further ahead of us. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver our performance over 90 minutes. We have to work on that. I rule out the possibility of us becoming active in the transfer market and signing a goalkeeper. Why are we so weak away from home? I have no explanation for this. Maybe the crowd at home is simply our twelfth man, whipping us on,” summarizes coach Matthias Regele.

Tramin (Coach: Hugo Pomella)

Last year, Tramin only finalized relegation on the last match day. This year the Unterlandlers are aiming for a top position. After the first half of the season, Tramin is in fifth place with 23 points. And yet, Hugo Pomella, the coach of the Black and Whites, is very optimistic: “I’m satisfied with the team’s effort. But there is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of play. What I didn't like were the four defeats from the last five games. We were equal to our opponents, but you still can't give away the points like that. We can still improve a lot technically and tactically. This team has a lot of quality. Before the season I said that we would be playing for fifth place if we gave it our all and could also be relegated if we let things slide. This league is so balanced, anything is possible. As I said, the boys give everything in training, they try hard. But she still has a lot more potential in terms of play. I want to exploit this potential in the second half of the season.”
