Salurn (Coach: Marco Bertoncini)

For the first time in the club's own history, the yellow-reds from the Unterland ended the first half of the season as autumn champions. First place at halftime (28 points) confirms the qualities and mental strength of the group, which has fought its way to the top of the league thanks to its commitment and hard work. However, the Salurners cannot rest on their laurels in the second half of the season. “I am happy with how the team has developed. The collective is in the foreground. Salurn is a good mix between experienced players and young hopefuls who are playing in the top league for the first time. They do their job well,” says Marco Bertoncini. This season, the Unterlandler trainer can rely on a strong strike trio (Dalpiaz, Marzocchella and Goller; scored a total of 18 goals), which is the envy of every coach in the top regional league. “Dalpiaz is a great player, Marzocchella is a guaranteed goal and Goller also immediately settled in well in the offensive department. Above all, Salurn is strong as a collective. We have one of the strongest goalkeepers in the tournament (Corradin), Tulipano and Marconi form a solid central defense, while Magelli pulls the strings in midfield with his experience,” says Bertoncini. When asked whether Salurn is aiming high, Salurn's coach answers: “The goal that the club has set itself is still to stay in the league. We're taking one step at a time, because a lot can still happen in a championship like this year's."

St. Georgen (Coach: Patrizio Morini)

St. Georgen ended the first half of the season with a defeat last Sunday, but the Pusterers can still draw a positive half-time balance. After 15 games, the young team is five points behind leaders Salurn. Coach Morini will also make a trip to the Maria Weißenstein pilgrimage site during the winter holidays. The reason? The bad luck with injuries that plagued the team in the first half of the season. This was also the case on the last matchday before the break, when captain Harrasser tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee. “We were very unlucky this season: first it hit Alex Ziviani, then Joey Filippin, Orfanello and finally Harrasser. Also not to be forgotten is Joachim Degasperi's collapse in the game against Mori a few weeks ago. We have to look forward. Winter is long. I think our president will take a look at the transfer market, maybe one or two players will be there for our team,” says Patrizio Morini. The “Jergina” landed a lucky strike in the summer with Joachim Degasperi. The former Serie B professional is the league's bomber in the first half of the season with 14 goals. “We don't need to discuss Degasperi's qualities, he is a fantastic player who was well received by everyone thanks to his willingness to help and his commitment,” said the St. Georgen coach, who already shared his thoughts with the cup final on Saturday against St. Martin is: “As always, we will give everything. It's a game where anything can happen."

Naturns (Coach: Luciano Chini)

The Naturns, who were only brought back to the highest regional league at the beginning of August, are in a constant battle to stay in the league. After a difficult start to the season, the team from Naturns was able to recover and celebrate some successes. Now Matthias Bacher and Co. have time to prepare for the second half of the season. The club from the lower Vinschgau region will also be on the lookout for the transfer market. “Overall, I’m happy with my team’s performance. I am convinced of one thing: If we didn't have any injured players to contend with, then we wouldn't have to worry about fighting to stay in the league. Due to its qualities, the team does not belong in the bottom half of the table. We dropped a few points in the first half of the season and some top performers had to miss the game due to injuries. But I am sure that we will achieve our first goal of the season as quickly as possible in the second half of the season,” summarizes Luciano Chini. The yellow-blue coach still has a lot of hard work ahead of him, but he can rely on an important pillar in the offensive: Martin Ramiro Lago.
