These are South Tyrol's teams at the 58th regional tournament

Since 2013, South Tyrol has had its own selections at the regional tournament; previously, South Tyrol and Trentino competed together.

In recent years, women have been particularly successful. Even though the South Tyroleans were eliminated in the preliminary round last year - after losing two finals in 2016 and 2017. Last year (in Abruzzo) the juniors were the only South Tyrolean representatives to make it to the quarter-finals. But the shock and deep sadness caused by the death of supervisor Elmar Lorenz Hochkofler led South Tyrol's association president Paul Tappeiner to withdraw the team from the tournament before the quarter-finals.

The venue for the first day of the 58th regional tournament is Colleferro (50 km east of Rome). South Tyrol's youth teams will face Puglia at the start, while the women will face Lombardy. Other group opponents for the South Tyrolean youth teams are Calabria (April 14th in San Giovanni Incarico, 28 km southeast of Frosinone) and Molise (April 15th in Valmontone, 38 km east of Rome). The women's team will face Sicily in Valmontone on Sunday and Abruzzo in Fiuggi on Monday.

Regional tournament 2020 in South Tyrol South Tyrol was awarded the contract for the 2020 regional tournament: from April 24th to May 1st, the Bolzano State Committee will host the prestigious and traditional comparison fight throughout South Tyrol.
