The spell is broken: first away win for the FCS

Hannes Kiem and Co. gave the fans and themselves probably the best Christmas present. With the 3-0 win in San Marino, the away ban that had been in place since the start of the season was broken.

In the match against the penultimate team without a point for four games, FCS coach Claudio Rastelli trusted nine players who were already on the pitch in the goalless draw against Pro Vercelli on Sunday. Kiem and Tagliani were allowed to play in the defense center. The only new additions to the starting line-up were Vassallo and Turchetta, who were preferred over Fink and Corazza.

The white and red dominate

FC Südtirol dictated the game from the start and had their first chance to score with Turchetta in the fourth minute. Afterwards, the FCS offensive game noticeably slowed down - until Dell'Agnello suddenly appeared alone in front of the opposing goalkeeper after a Turchetta cross and made it 1-0. Afterwards, goalie Micai surpassed himself after a shot from Draghetti.

After the break, Furlan made the preliminary decision. The FC Südtirol midfielder made it 2-0 with a well-placed shot from the edge of the penalty area. Immediately afterwards, Vassallo could have increased, but he was denied by San Marino goalkeeper Venturi. However, the 3-0 was only postponed because in the 75th minute Corazza scored the third goal with a powerful header. At this point, the home team only played with ten men due to Fogacci's exclusion.

The spell is broken: first away win for the FCS

On the 14th matchday of the 1st Division the time had finally come: FC Südtirol celebrated its first “threesome” away from home in a 3-0 win against the crisis-ridden footballers from San Marino. The goals were scored by Dell'Agnello, Furlan and Corazza.
