Bozen FC grabs the first “GKN Sinter Metals Trophy”

The Talferstädter moved into the final after successes over SSV Taufers (2:0) and Bassa Anaunia (1:0) and met Mori St. Stefano there. The national league team from Trentino had booked their ticket to the final as winners of Group A. In the final, the people of Bolzano narrowly had the upper hand 1-0 thanks to a goal from newcomer Stefan Clementi.

FC Obermais secured third place. The club from the Meran district, which had missed the final qualification after a defeat against Mori, flexed its muscles in the small final and clearly beat SSV Taufers 3-0. Malleier, Schwartz and Pamer secured third place for the FCO with their goals.

Host Bruneck, meanwhile, finished their home tournament in fifth place. The national league team had the better end in the game for fifth place against Bassa Anaunia - the Puster team won 5:4 on penalties and thus relegated the Trentino team to last place.

Bozner FC won the first tournament for the “GKN Sinter Metals Trophy” in Reischach on Saturday. In the high-class showdown in the Pustertal, the upper league team was crowned the winner without conceding a goal.
