FC Eppan is crowned cup winner for the first time

Ahrntal was more active in the early stages and had their first good opportunity with Kerrniqi in the sixth minute. The nimble offensive player tried to outwit Iardino with a directly taken corner (6th). On the other side, Osti's long-range shot went over (7th), before Arber Lekiqi tried a long-range shot that just missed Psenner's goal (16th). As the first part of the game lasted, Eppan slowly but surely took control.

In the middle of the first half, Amofah's shot was too imprecise (23'), before Ahrntal tried two long throws that were headed towards Iardino, but ultimately failed to result in a goal (31', 33'). The last opportunity in the first half went to Kerrniqi, whose long-range shot was easy prey for Iardino (34').

Hard-fought game, few chances to score

After the break, Osti tried a free kick, which didn't cause any problems for Psenner (57'). On the other side, Kerrniqi took a corner dangerously into the middle, but from where it was headed over the goal (59'). Then Arber Lekiqi forced the Teldra goalie into a brilliant feat with a remarkable long-range shot (66th), before an emergency stop on Kerrniqi, who had already broken through, was not punished and led to wild protests from SSV Ahrntal.

Shortly afterwards, Arber Lekiqi shot from distance again, but found his master again in Psenner (71st). When everyone was already expecting extra time, Osti got the ball in the penalty area, but his pass was caught by the alert Psenner (90th + 4).

In extra time, Shkelqim Lekiqi was placed in the Ahrntaler penalty area, but the penalty whistle was not blown (96th). On the other side, Happacher came a step too late after a dangerous cross. One minute before the end of the first extra time, Eppan took the lead: Osti got the ball in the penalty area and hit the ball powerfully into the net in Goalgetter style (104th).

After the new break, less than two minutes had been played when Maurer's long-range shot failed to hit the post. In the 111th minute, Pareiner was denied by Iardino's brilliant performance, before Simon Oberhollenzer's header narrowly went wide (117'). It was the last chance for Teldra, who shortly afterwards had to watch as league bottom Eppan lifted the heavy winner's trophy.

FC Eppan is crowned cup winner for the first time

The winner of the South Tyrolean state cup final is FC Eppan. The Überetscher prevailed in Leifers at the end of a disjointed duel against SSV Ahrntal with 1-0. Michael Osti scored the decisive goal in extra time. Eppan will now face Oberliga-Krösus Trient in the regional cup final next Sunday.
