FC Südtirol defeated Albinoleffe at the start

Against Albinoleffe, coach Zanetti confirmed most of the starting eleven from the last Italian Cup game against Triestina. The only new addition was Michael Cia, who took Broh's place in midfield after he was injured shortly before the match.

The game began with the visitors from Bergamo kicking off. After an early free kick from Giorgione, the ball was almost sent in the air by Frascatore and Costantino into their own goal. Offredi was able to make a brilliant save at the last moment and thus prevent the own goal. FC Südtirol found it difficult to develop concrete offensive maneuvers in the initial phase, especially because the guests exerted an aggressive pressure game. Almost two minutes later, a long and precise cross pass from Zanchi landed on the completely unmarked Gyasi. He received the ball excellently in the opponent's penalty area and created a great opportunity to score. However, the subsequent shot from a good position went wrong and landed in the stars. In the 66th minute, the FCS took the lead. Bertoni sent Zanchi down the left wing with an excellent long ball. He then crossed to the far post for Cia, who scored to make it 1-0. Shortly before the end of the game, in the 87th minute, Oneto almost scored another goal when he tried to cross the ball into the middle. But the ball went past the opponent's box. After that, nothing more happened and the match ended 1-0 for FC Südtirol.

FC Südtirol defeated Albinoleffe at the start

FC Südtirol started the new season well on the way. The White-Reds won the home game at the Drusus Stadium in Bolzano thanks to a goal from Michael Cia.
