FC Südtirol can't afford any more missteps

October has so far been magical for FC Südtirol. The White-Reds have not been able to achieve a single win in the past four weeks. The last full point win was on September 27th, when Pro Patria was defeated 2-0. On the last day of the month there should be a sense of success, especially since this is urgently needed to take the pressure off the shoulders of coach Claudio Rastelli.

Finally, President Walter Baumgartner demonstratively stood behind the trainer from Rome. He gives him great credit for this: “That is the strength of this club. Here you can really work in peace and concentration. People obviously appreciate my work and notice how much the boys put in. Nevertheless, we absolutely have to score points now and find the necessary consistency.”

With strengthened support, we should finally get back on the road to success this evening (start: 20.45 p.m.) against Albinoleffe. The visiting team from Lombardy is three points behind in 16th place in the table, but they recently gained confidence with a home win against Alessandria. The FCS should therefore be forewarned. “If we hadn't had a regular goal denied in Novara, we wouldn't be under so much pressure. A point win there would have been extremely important. What the heck, now we have to roll up our sleeves again and try to put on a good performance again. Of course there are some weak points that need to be addressed, but the moves we showed in Novara make me very confident. We will do our best to continue to improve and finally reap the rewards we deserve against Albinoleffe,” promises Rastelli.
