FC Südtirol believes in its chance

“Of course it would have been better not to lose in the Drusus Stadium. But if we are able to repeat our performance from Sunday, we can still do it. Leaving the place in Vercelli as winners won't be easy, but we will still take on this challenge with a broad heart. “I, the team and the entire club still believe in it,” says sports director Luca Piazzi, expressing confidence.

The dream of Serie B is not yet over for the FCS, despite the defeat in the first leg of the playoff final. In order to turn the game around in 90 minutes, there must be at least a two-goal lead. If the FCS is in the lead by one goal at the end of regular time, the decision will be made in extra time or in a penalty shootout.

Break gate barrier

In the three games this season, the FCS has never managed to win against Pro Vercelli and they have not been able to score a single goal. Before the 0-1 defeat on Sunday, the first leg of the regular season at the Drusus Stadium ended 0-0, and the White-Reds suffered a 0-2 defeat in the away game.

Pro Vercelli still unbeaten

Pro Vercelli has never lost at home this season. In the championship, the Piedmontese won twelve of the 15 games, three ended in a draw. Another two wins followed in the two playoff games so far.

Scavone returns

On Saturday, FCS coach Rastelli will have Simone Branca, who has been suspended, at his disposal; he will complete the midfield with Fink and Pederzoli. The same players as in the first leg are expected to be on the pitch from the start in defense and attack. Former FCS promotion hero Manuel Scavone returns to Pro Vercelli's starting line-up.

FC Südtirol believes in its chance

On Saturday at 18 p.m. the FCS will play in the second leg of the playoff final in Vercelli. The aim is to make up for the 0-1 first leg defeat. However, the White-Reds have yet to score a single goal against Pro Vercelli this season.
