FC Südtirol can only take one point from AlbinoLeffe

FC Südtirol had their first good opportunity in the fourth minute when Campo broke away from an opponent after a throw-in. The subsequent shot was a serious test for visiting goalie Offredi.

Ten minutes later, the fans were allowed to cheer in the Drusus Stadium. As a result of a corner, Manuel Fiwickeler came to the ball completely alone in the penalty area and hit it unstoppably into the net. With his sixth goal of the season, the signee gave the FCS a 1-0 lead from a slightly offside position.

The home team continued to dominate the game. However, Lendric (21'), Branca (23') and Furlan (28') were unable to score the second goal, nor were Vorobjov's equalizer on the other side, which came after a blunder by Melgrati, but the ball passed to the FCS team. Housing pushed past.

In the 34th minute, Branca tried a remarkable shot that Offredi was able to defuse. And the hosts also had the last significant chance after the break with Lendric, who, after good control, chased the ball into the Bolzano night sky.

A defensive lapse will be punished

That took revenge in the 67th minute when AlbinoLeffe equalized out of the blue. After some misunderstandings in the back line of Rastelli's team, Momentè got the ball and gave Melgrati the advantage with a precise diagonal shot.

After that, the white and reds tried hard, but couldn't find a recipe to break the Bergamo team's defensive barrier. Even in the five minutes of stoppage time, Fischnelller & Co. didn't make any further impact - with the exception of a long-range shot from Petermann and a header from goal scorer Manuel Fiwickeler. In the end there was one point for both teams - a point that doesn't really help anyone.
