FC Südtirol is looking for its first away win in Carrara

“We have to stay safe and gain further self-confidence with a good performance. It is now important to score points and achieve continuity of results. But we still have time. We can still have a serious say for the top places because we don't have to hide from anyone. Perhaps only the first two placed Pro Vercelli and Virtus Entella, as well as Cremonese, are better in quality,” says FCS midfield director Alex Pederzoli confidently.

Coach Rastelli's team now has two tricky away games against Carrarese and on Sunday, December 1st against Savona. These two encounters on foreign greens should at the same time initiate a turnaround in the previously winless away games. If Kiem & Co. manage three wins and two draws in seven games at the Drusus Stadium, the FCS will still be waiting for their first win away from home. So far there have been three defeats (Albinoleffe, Como, Vicenza). The White-Reds got their only away point in Venice.

In Carrara, Claudio Rastelli will count on the two defenders Daniel Cappelletti and Marco Martin - who were suspended last Saturday. They, along with Bassoli and Iacoponi, could form the defense. Pederzoli will take the lead in midfield, while Vassallo and Furlan will be deployed as half-wingers. The storm is composed of Corazza, Campo and Dell'Agnello. The three players scored eleven of the 18 goals, with Alessandro Campo being the top scorer with seven goals.

Carrerese with famous owner

Gianluigi Buffon, goalkeeper of the Italian national team and keeper of the Serie A club Juventus Turin, is the owner of the club from Tuscany, which was actually relegated to the fourth division last season as the last-placed team. Thanks to the “ripescaggio”, relegation was prevented and enrollment in the 1st division was carried out. Although Carrarese started the championship with a furious 5-0 against San Marino, this victory was followed by - apart from last weekend's success against Per Patria - just two points. This is also why coach Maurizio Braghin was fired from his position a little over a week ago. Gian Marco Remondina was hired to replace him, and he immediately celebrated a successful debut.

Against the FCS, coach Remondina has to do without the suspended Bregliano, while Benassi, Belcastro and Tognoni are available again. Zanchi and the experienced Cellini are also expected to be fit again. There is a big question mark behind the use of Vannucci.
