FC Südtirol has to admit defeat to Lumezzane

Not much happened in the early stages. Both teams neutralized each other in midfield and the fans didn't see any really good chances. Baraye caused something of a threat for the first time in the 12th minute when he made his way into the penalty area after a fine individual effort, but then drove the ball well over the goal.

24 minutes had been played when Grandi defused a beautiful cross to the penalty spot with his fists. Four minutes later, Campo had the first opportunity when he shot from the edge of the penalty area and missed the outside post by a few centimeters on the right side as seen from Vigorito.

After half an hour, Grandi was badly fouled by an opponent. The FCS goalkeeper had to be replaced as a result and Richard Gabriel Marcone came on for him.

In the 38th minute, Lumezzane again, with Torri, who hit the ball into the side netting from almost ten meters. The next “highlight” was the substitution of Torris, who suffered a strain and was replaced by Samb. A little later it was over and the referee blew the whistle for the first half.

After the break, Hannes Fink made way for Pasi (52'), before the guests had their first opportunity: Inglese tried a powerful shot from a good 25 meters, but it went over the goal guarded by Marcone (56').

Just five minutes later it was Baraye who tried to beat Marcone with a shot. The ball rolled just a few centimeters past the post and into the goal. Lumezzane now wanted to score the opening goal and was rewarded in the 70th minute when substitute Samb scored with a powerful header to make it 1-0 for the hosts from Lombardy. The FCS protested wildly because Lumezzane's number 18 was supposedly offside.

In the 79th minute, Maritato, who had just been substituted, tried a shot on the move, but the FCS player failed to hit the visitors' goal. Martin tried a corner in the 87th minute, but Vigorito had no problems with the low shot. It was to be the last chance in this game, which ended in a narrow defeat for the White-Reds.

FC Südtirol has to admit defeat to Lumezzane

The two-week break didn't do FC Südtirol any good. After a draw at the start against Albinoleffe and the win against Pavia two weeks ago, there was a narrow 1-0 defeat against Lumezzane on matchday four.
