FC Südtirol has to admit defeat to Pordenone

In the “Bottecchia” stadium, coach Zanetti had to do without the injured Broh for the second time in a row. Smith, on the other hand, was not in the best of form and started the match from the substitutes' bench. The only new addition to the South Tyrolean starting line-up was Bertoni, who took the place in midfield as a playmaker.

In the 5th minute the White-Reds had their first chance of the game. Bertoni opened to the left half of the field where Zanchi made his presence felt. He took the ball and played it to Gyasi in the middle of the penalty area, who was denied by keeper Perilli with a great backheel. Shortly afterwards the home team was able to take the lead. Gerardi got to Ciurria's cross shot and hit the crossbar. However, the ball remained in the seven-meter area and Martignano safely shot it into the goal to make it 2-1. After that nothing more happened and the first round ended with the home team winning 2-1.

The second season started with the White-Eotens in possession of the ball without substitutions on both sides. In the 4th minute of the second half, after Sgarbi was shown a yellow card for a tactical foul, coach Zanetti and sports director Valoti protested too violently and were therefore sent off. The home team scored their third goal in the 53rd minute. Burrai opened up on the left to Martignano, who sent a sharp cross across the field into the middle. There was Ciurria, who cleverly took advantage of the goal assist and easily scored to make it 3-1. Shortly afterwards, Frascatore fired a powerful and precise right-footed shot from 40 meters away that just went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, FCS had a huge chance to get back into the match. A free kick from Berardoccos was extended into the hosts' penalty area by Frascatore, where Stefani shot the ball onto his own crossbar and almost into his own goal. Four minutes later there was an excellent combination from Berardocch-Gyasi-Gatto, with a shot from the latter that narrowly missed Perilli's goal. After that nothing more happened and the game ended 3-1 for Pordenone.

Next Sunday (18.30 p.m.) FC Südtirol will play at home against Fermana.

FC Südtirol has to admit defeat to Pordenone

On the second matchday of the current Serie C championship, FC Südtirol lost away to Pordenone at the “Bottecchia” stadium. The home team responded to the White-Reds' initial lead with Cia and ultimately won 3-1.
