FC Südtirol starts with a zero number

FC Südtirol had to start the first game of the season without regular players Kiem, Branca, Bertoni and Furlan. Nevertheless, it was the Rastelli team who missed the opening goal for the first time after ten minutes. Tait set up Firiegeller, who in turn let Crispino get out and shot the ball at the empty goal. However, defender Ardito was able to intercept the ball with a tackle and direct it against the post. Only a short time later, Filehner tried again. This time he shot over the goal after a nice pass from Cia. Immediately before the break, Cia tried it himself, but his free kick attempt was also unsuccessful.

Outnumbered for one half

At the beginning of the second half, FC Südtirol, who had been superior until then, seemed to have everything in their hands. Como player Giosa had to leave the field with a yellow-red card after a foul on Martin. With the FCS in the majority, they now pushed for the winning goal. The substitutes Petermann and Marras (for Cia and Tait) were supposed to further enliven the offensive game. However, this was only partially successful because as the game progressed, the white-reds found it increasingly difficult to break through Como's defense. One of the few real upsets came from Fischnelller again: he had a goal disallowed in the 65th minute because of an alleged offside position. Substitute Chinellato had the last chance in the 94th minute. However, his header from a few meters away from the goal was defused by goalie Crispino. The goalless draw was thus sealed.

FC Südtirol starts with a zero number

Even in the fifth attempt it just didn't work: FC Südtirol once again failed to score full points on the first matchday of the third highest football league. Despite a courageous performance in Como, the white-reds had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
