FC Südtirol sells its skin expensively

In this game, the FCS appeared for the first time with their last newcomer, the 29-year-old full-back Nicolas Corvetto. The Chilean already played in Italy between 2008 and 2011, for Udinese, Triestina and Taranto. He also played for Albacete in Spain, while he spent the last few seasons at home in the top Chilean league.

Corvetto has a one-year contract that still needs to be ratified by the relevant body. Also in Castelrotto was Ettore Gliozzi, a 19-year-old offensive player from Calabria who already had experience with Sassuolo in Serie A and the Italian Cup. Last year he played for Forlì in the Lega Pro. Gliozzi will officially move to Bozen at the beginning of August, but is already allowed to train with Mister Stroppa.

Cacia scored the only goal of the evening in the 44th minute. The white-reds bravely stood up to the Serie A promoted team throughout the game.

It was the White-Reds' third test match of the current season. In all three games the FCS faced an Italian first division team. Hellas Verona won 3-0 a week ago, before Sassuolo celebrated a 4-0 win over FC Südtirol on Wednesday.

For Bologna, however, the training camp on the high plateau came to an end. The Emilia Romagna club will return home on Monday.
