FC Südtirol wants to wipe out Sannino again

On August 20th, FC Südtirol won 1-0 at home and now the next meeting awaits in the championship with the traditional club from the port city. Although they only returned to the third highest division in the summer, they want to move on to Serie B as quickly as possible. Accordingly, Triestina strengthened in almost all positions before the start of the season. The most notable new addition, however, was the coach: Giuseppe Sannino moved to Trieste after several positions in Serie A, Serie B and England. The Neapolitan is unforgotten in South Tyrol, as he was the one who helped FC Südtirol gain promotion to professional football in 2000 and then confidently stay in the league. Now he should lead Triestina to its former glory.

Conversely, Michael Cia, a current FCS squad player, has a Triestina past. The Montanan recorded 2008 second division appearances and 29 goals for the long-standing Serie A club in the 24/2 season.

Broh is still out

The Sannino team and FC Südtirol are currently tied for points in the middle of the table. Both teams have one win and one draw each.

FCS coach Paolo Zanetti will once again have to make do without the injured Jeremie Broh on Sunday (the game starts at 14.30 p.m.), and the use of the injured Renny Smith is also still questionable. Kevin Vinetot, on the other hand, is ready for action again.

FC Südtirol wants to wipe out Sannino again

The fourth matchday in Serie C takes place on Sunday. FC Südtirol will be playing in the Nereo Rocco Stadium in Trieste, which has a capacity of 30.000 spectators. The opponent is US Triestina, which Cia & Co. defeated in the Italian Cup just a few weeks ago.
