The FCS disappoints again: 0-1 defeat against Renate

FC Südtirol started the trip to Meda badly handicapped, missing seven important players: Novothny, Tagliani, Fink, Mazzitelli, Furlan, Mladen and Branca. Their absence took a toll on the White-Reds' game right from the start. Renate dictated the action and created several good chances in the early stages: FCS goalie Melgrati missed in the 13th minute, but Cocuzza's header, who wore the white-red team last year, went past the empty goal . A minute later it was Cocuzza who hit the crossbar again from ten meters away. After half an hour, Iovine was denied by the side netting. Up until then, FC Südtirol had not been able to record a single real shot on goal.

Two minutes before the break, the guests' passivity was finally punished. Of all people, former FCS striker Riccardo Cocuzza gave Renate a 1-0 lead. He made Zullo look old in the penalty area and hit the target with a precise diagonal shot. Renate's center forward crowned his outstanding performance. On the other side, the offensive forces were completely disengaged. Filehner and Cia tried hard, but in the end they had no luck. There was no sign of Campo or Chinellato, who replaced him.
