The FCS cannot return to winning ways against Mantua either

FC Südtirol was missing the suspended Mladen, Mazzitelli and Branca as well as the injured Martin. Hannes Kiem, on the other hand, recovered from his muscle problems and was fully operational again. After a leisurely start to the game, the guests were able to exploit their first chance in the seventh minute: Siniscalchi reached Caridi with a long and precise pass on the left touchline, who immediately sent a cross across the field. Filippo Boniperti headed it in unhindered to give Mantua a 1-0 lead. The White-Reds were visibly surprised and struggled to recover from this setback, with goalkeeper Melgrati having to do everything he could to prevent Boniperti from scoring twice just two minutes later. The FCS couldn't find a solution to free themselves from the strong pressure from the guests in their own goal area - until the 29th minute. Then the home team got off to a flying start. Novothny and Campo managed to bring the ball forward, where Novothny let loose a sharp shot that goalkeeper Festa was only able to get out of the corner with a lot of luck. In the 41st minute, Campo and Furlan showed a beautiful and useful interaction. Campo passes to Furlan, who provided a top assist to Filehner. However, his shot on goal was blocked by Festa. Fink messed up the follow-up shot by missing the goal by quite a bit. So the players went into the locker room with the score at 0:1.

In the second half, Coach Sormani brought in the fresher Marra for Campo. A little later, Cia came on for Fink. The White Reds were in a continuous attack phase, but Mantua held up well, also because Sormani's boys lacked the necessary determination, and so the visitors were able to save the result over time. In the 75th minute, Fiwickeler tried a diagonal shot and a little later the striker from Signate had a good opportunity, but he had to miss both chances and so Mantua remained 1-0.

On the 35th matchday of the Lega Pro, FC Südtirol suffered a 0-1 defeat against Mantova in their home Drusus Stadium. Boniperti scored the winning goal for the guests in the first half of the game.
