The FCS wants to stay on course against Carrarese

“The goal for the season has not yet been achieved, but you cannot deny that there are only a few steps left. In the last five championship games we have set ourselves two important goals: to reach fifth place in the table and to prepare as best as possible for the playoff games,” says FCS coach Claudio Rastelli.

In the home game against Carrarese, Rastelli has to do without three important players: full-back Martin is missing due to a yellow card suspension, Corazza has to sit out due to a broken nose, and Dell'Agnello is missing because of a long-term injury. However, Cappelletti, Furlan and Vassallo are fit again and eligible to play. But only the former is likely to return to the starting eleven, which should consist of Facchin between the posts and a defensive line made up of Bassoli, Kiem, Tagliani and Cappelletti. The recently convincing Pederzoli, Fink and Branca should be in midfield. Veratti replaces Corazza in attack. Minesso and Turchetta should cause a stir in the wing positions.

Carrarese is aiming for the top

Strengthened by the change of coach and new coach Remondina, Carrarese has said goodbye to the back positions and slowly pushed forward. With 27 points, the team from Tuscany is in eleventh place and is currently ten points behind the FCS. There was no defeat in the last six games and there were wins against Feralpisalò, Venezia and Pro Patria. The last defeat came on January 26th. The Yellow and Blues were also able to collect more than half of the points away from home. The player with the greatest potential is undoubtedly Marco Cellini (58 goals in Serie B). He is also Carrarese's top scorer. The beefy attacker celebrated six goals, while Merini scored five goals. Coach Remondina has to do without midfielder Belcastro against FCS.

In the first leg in November, FC Südtirol suffered an unfortunate defeat. The white-reds took the lead through Campo, but Carrerese ultimately won the game 2-1.
