Bursaspor and Fenerbahce, two traditional Turkish clubs, faced each other at the weekend. The friendly match was a charity kick in which sick children were to be the focus. Thousands of fans were in the stadium, including many children, and the game was broadcast live on TV.

So far so good. Shortly before kick-off, the camera showed pictures from the stands - and captured what appeared to be a boy laughing and puffing on a cigarette. It didn't take long for this video to go viral and the "smoking kid" to dominate social media.

Many users asked themselves: How can such a young child reach for the fag? As it now turns out, it is not a boy, but a 36-year-old man. Kenan Vatansever is the name of the gentleman who is apparently blessed with an extremely youthful appearance.

Problems in everyday life The portal t-online.de contacted Vatansever. At first he was a bit annoyed by all the fuss that was made about him. “My phone crashed because there were so many messages and calls coming in,” he explained. “I now find the fuss funny,” says Vatansever. There is no explanation for his youthful appearance - i.e. no genetic defect, no illness. “I am absolutely healthy.”

In 2015, Vatansever even ran for a parliamentary seat - but without success.

In everyday life, Vatansever's young appearance often causes problems. Buying cigarettes is always difficult because some dealers don't want to give you any. But there are also often unpleasant situations in traffic: he has now lost count of how often he has to show his driver's license. “Sometimes the police don’t even want to believe my age,” says Vatansever.

By the way: The Bursaspor fan had reason to be happy during the game itself: his team won 2-1.
