A Napoli striker enchants the Paulsner Morktplotz

Registered at the last minute, started as a blatant outsider and ended up winning the tournament with a show of force: FC Vladini amazed fans and opponents on Sunday. The semi-final against the Golden Gunners Terlan, always one of the hottest tournament favorites for years, was won in an impressive manner 4-0. In the final, Hellas Corona, peppered with numerous Brixen major league players, were forced to their knees with a score of 5-1. What impressed the 600 or so spectators who created a cauldron atmosphere in the final most was that the FC Vladini players were almost all 16 or 17 years old - there has never been such a young tournament winner in the 28-year history of the tournament.

Lorenzo Sgarbi outshines everything However, FC Vladini also had a player in their own ranks who was a few leagues better than all the rest. The 17-year-old from Bolzano, Lorenzo Sgarbi, usually plays for Napoli's Primavera team and has already trained several times this year with the Serie's professional team -A clubs with. At the Morktplotz, the good friend of Vladini boss and St. Pauls player Conor Harrison caused many astonished faces, especially in the final. The Golden Gunners, on the other hand, finished fourth. The Kalterer Gauchos also had reason to celebrate: they won the Europa League at lunchtime and thus got a ticket for the Champions League. But there it was over in the round of 16. Showed strong nerves in the penalty shootout: Matthias Mair with his rings Teifl. In the end it came third place.

Vladini keeper Riccardo Fabi was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament, while Moritz Mair from the Ringen Teifl was named the best defender. Christof Larcher received the best player award, and Dennis Malleier (Golden Gunners) and Lorenzo Sgarbi (as top scorer) were also elected to the All-Star team. The award for the most beautiful player was given to Thomas Piffrader from the Flamongos.
