Although there was no merger between Virtus Bozen and FC Südtirol, the cooperation between the two clubs was significantly strengthened by the new partnership. The aim is to help the young players of FC Südtirol mature with the local Serie D league club. "Now is the right time to collaborate. Virtus Bozen is now a very important club in the local football scene," explains FC Südtirol President Walter Baumgartner, "We have numerous young players who come out of the youth sector year after year.
