“English week” in the national league

The top game of the fourth round takes place in Klausen. Latzfons Verdings, which is in fifth place in the table, hosts third Partschins. Both teams were promoted from the 1st amateur league to the state league in the spring. And both teams have something to make up for from last weekend: Latzfons lost 0-1 in Stegen, Partschins lost the derby against Naturns 1-2. To make matters worse, Michael “Humi” Huber was seriously injured at Partschins, who tore his cruciate ligament (SportNews reported, editor's note) and will be out for a long time.

Meanwhile, the two league leaders Lana and Naturns, who are tied on points, want to defend their clean slate. Lana is a guest at the eleventh-placed Weinstrasse. The Unterlanders are particularly strong at home and Huber & Co. want to live up to this reputation against the “gunners”, who have already scored 14 times in the three championship games so far.

Naturns, on the other hand, plays a home game. The yellow-blues are hosting SG Schlern, who must have gained a lot of self-confidence last weekend with their 3-1 home win against Oberliga relegated Plose. Speaking of Plose: The Eisacktaler have not yet reached the state league. With just one point from three matches, they are at the bottom of the state league table. On Wednesday FC Bozen 96 (currently ranked 14th) will be guests in St. Andrä in the basement derby. The Fuschini team should get their first “threesome” against the Talferstadt team, who celebrated their first win of the season on Sunday.

Obermais wants to get over the 1:4 defeat against Lana as quickly as possible. The Burggräfler host Pichl Gsies on Wednesday, who should be particularly confident after their 3-0 win against Bozner Boden. Moos and Stegen are two teams facing each other who were also able to celebrate full points for the first time on Sunday. It will be interesting to see whether one of the two teams can start a small series.

The fourth match day in the top division at the state level concludes with the games Neugries – Natz and Bozner Boden against SC Passeier.
