First win of the season: Virtus Bozen beats Lecco 1-0

Coach Luca Lomi had to do without the injured trio Hofer, Majdi and Perri in the second home game of the season. In the opening minutes the home team struggled to get into the game. Only after a good quarter of an hour did the Bolzano team get their first goal with Antonacci. A little later, Kaptina aimed a little too imprecisely after a De Simone free kick. As a result, Virtus Bozen became increasingly stronger and had further offensive actions with Cremonini, Zentil (both 30th) and Clementi (39th), but were unable to convert their opportunities into goals.

After the break, Virtus Bozen remained in control: Only after a corner kick (51') did things get a bit tricky for the team from Bolzano, after which the game increasingly degenerated into a one-way drive towards the visitors' goal. Initially, the eye-catching Clementi and Timpone missed the best opportunities before defender Zentil made the long overdue 1-0 with a powerful header in stoppage time and decided the game in favor of the Talferstädter team.

Thanks to their first win of the season, Virtus Bozen is leaving the bottom of the table for the time being. After four match days, the Lomi protégés are in twelfth place with four points.

First win of the season: Virtus Bozen beats Lecco 1-0

Historic day for Virtus Bozen: The Serie D club from the state capital defeated Lecco 1-0 on the fourth matchday and thus achieved the first “threesome” in the fourth highest Italian league. Defender Marco Zentil scored the decisive goal shortly before the end.
