FC Südtirol: There is a lot at stake this evening

After the 0-0 draw against Padova, the fifth game without a win in a row, FC Südtirol is in eighth place in the table with 33 points. Opponents FeralpiSalò won their last game 4-2 against Cremonese and thus secured themselves at the top of the league. The Lake Garda club has seven points more than the FCS.

In the difficult away game in Salò, coach Giovanni Stroppa has to do without his suspended captain Alessandro Furlan, but can call on all the other squad players.

Stroppa's opposite is Aimo Diana, who took over as coach at Feralpi from Michele Sirena at the beginning of October. During his active career, Diana played for Parma, Sampdoria, Palermo and Torino in Serie A, among others. Diana played 13 times for the Italian national team and scored one goal. In 13 games under Diana's leadership there were nine wins, one draw and three defeats. In the second half of the season, the team from Lombardy won four of their five games.

Feralpisalò has the best attack in the league

With 38 goals scored, the team from Salò has the best attack in the league. The top scorer is the offensive winger Andrea Bracaletti with eight goals. In the winter transfer window, FeralpiSalò strengthened with midfielder Quadri (from Lupa Roma), striker Ceria (from Atalanta via Arezzo) and striker Cesaretti (from Pontedera). Probably the best-known player in the team from Lombardy is the 35-year-old midfielder Alex Pinardi. In his past he played at Atalanta, Lecce, Modena, Cagliari, Novara and Vicenza, among others. Aimo Diana can rely on all of his players for the game against FCS.

In nine meetings between FC Südtirol and FeralpiSalò so far, there have been four wins for the White Reds, two draws and three wins for Feralpi. There was a goalless draw in the first leg in October at the Drusus Stadium.

FC Südtirol: There is a lot at stake this evening

The White Reds will face title candidate FeralpiSalò in the TV game (RaiSport broadcasts live) on Monday at 20 p.m. They want to end a result crisis that has been going on for weeks and get back in the fight for the playoff places.
