FC Südtirol gets a point in Cremona

FCS coach Rastelli had to make do in the away game in Lombardy without the suspended Taglian, Bassoli and Vassallo, as well as the long-term injured Dell'Agnello. Despite the failures, the white and reds started like the fire department and attacked with almost ten men. In the fifth minute, Fink was brought down on the edge of the penalty area. Pederzoli curled the free kick straight into the net. A short time later, Corazza appeared alone in front of the Cremonese goalie, but couldn't get the leather into the box. The home team then recovered and counterattacked. In the 13th minute, FCS goalkeeper Facchin was only able to punch away a corner and the wide-awake Brighenti pushed in to make it 1-1. Afterwards, both teams shifted down a gear and tried to build orderly offensive actions. The next highlight came from Armellino, who tested Facchin with a dangerous long-range shot.

The second half began with a huge chance for Cremonese: Della Rocca got the ball in the penalty area and was able to shoot unhindered. But he pulled too hard and missed the goal. But FC Südtirol also stayed in the game. In the 52nd minute, Turchetta took the ball from his opponent in midfield, stormed forward and fed Corazza, who was intercepted by goalkeeper Galli. In the 60th minute, Minelli headed just over the FCS goal. After that, the game became increasingly stale and the spectators in the Giovanni Zini Stadium acknowledged this with shrill whistles. It was only in the final phase that Cremonese created two top-class chances to score, but these were miserably missed by Brighenti and Della Rocca. FC Südtirol saved the draw over time. The White-Reds made up ground in the table thanks to their one point, but have had to wait for a win since January 26th. Next Sunday, Serie B relegated Vicenza will be visiting Bolzano.

FC Südtirol gets a point in Cremona

The Rastelli team still has to wait for a full point win, but on Sunday they managed a 1-1 draw in the difficult away game against third-placed Cremonese. Alex Pederzoli secured FCS one point with an early free kick goal.
