FC Südtirol: We need our first away win in San Marino

“The goalless draw against a team ranked Pro Vercelli represents good conditions for the restart. Now we have to take another step forward and get our first away win in order to achieve security and continuity in the results in the long term,” explains FCS top scorer Alessandro Campo.

At the “Stadio Olimpico” in Serravalle, coach Rastelli’s team finally wants to free itself from the away curse. There is still no success in the first half of the season so far, as only one point from the game against Venice has a positive impact, while the matches in Bergamo, Como, Vicenza, Carrara and Savona were all lost. This has also been reflected in the table, as the last five games have only yielded four points. The FCS has been waiting for a win for four games.

Claudio Rastelli is likely to confirm nine players in the starting lineup at San Marino. Kiem and Tagliani should play a role in defense. On the left wing the decision is between Bassoli and Martin. In midfield, the only surprise could be the appointment of Vassallo, who could replace Fink. In attack, there is no doubt that the Campo-Dell'Agnello-Corazza trio will play from the first minute.

San Marino is sitting in the bottom of the table

At San Marino everything looks like a deliberate transition season. It is very convenient that there will be no relegations for the first time this year. The team was put together with these aspects in mind, consisting entirely of young players from the “Primavera” of Bologna and Cesena, enriched by a few experienced names such as Pacciardi, Crocetti and striker Mattia Graffiedi, who has already played in Serie A. San Marino is in second-to-last place in the table with ten points, three points behind FCS.

Against FC Südtirol, coach Fernando Argila will have to do without the suspended Farina and Guarco, but can count on Cruz and Pacciardi again. The condition of Graffiedi and Paoloni is uncertain, both of whom have been in the hospital for some time.
