FC Südtirol: Marco Martin leaves, Matteo Legittimo comes

Mark Martin moves to B league club Pescara. FC Südtirol has handed over 50 percent of the 24-year-old's playing rights to coach Zdenek Zeman's team. Martin is leaving the FCS after two and a half years. He came to Bolzano in October 2009 and, in his first season, played a key role in the White-Reds' historic rise to the Lega Pro First Division. In total he played 66 championship games for the FCS and scored three goals. Martin previously also played with Treviso in Serie B (three appearances) and with Viterbese in Serie C2 (26 appearances in the 2007-08 season). Martin will be playing for the first time on Wednesday December 28th with Pescara, who are currently in 4th place in the table is in Serie B, train.

Comes in his place Legitimate Matthew from Serie A club Lecce to FC Südtirol. The 22-year-old left wing-back from Casarano was also acquired by FCS at 50 percent. Legittimo grew up in Lecce's youth sector. The 1,82 m tall and 76 kg player has already played for the U16, U18 and U19 national teams. In the 2008/2009 season he moved to the Lega Pro First Division, first to Pistoia (7 games) and then to Paganese (4 games). The following year he played in the Second Division in Barletta, where he played 33 championship matches. Last year he made 20 appearances and scored one goal for Salernitana in the First Division. On September 5, 2010, he was also in the southern Italian squad for Salernitana's 1-0 away win in the Drusus Stadium in Bolzano against FCS. This year he returned to Lecce but was never considered. Matteo Legittimo will attend the training camp in Noto on Sicily with FC Südtirol.

FCS will train in Sicily until the end of the year The FCS is leaving for the mini-training camp in Sicily tomorrow, Tuesday, December 27th, where they want to stay in shape in Noto, in the province of Syracuse, until Saturday morning, December 31st. The first game of the second half of the season is scheduled for January 8, 2012 away against Piacenza.

FC Südtirol: Marco Martin leaves, Matteo Legittimo comes

FC Südtirol became active in the transfer market over Christmas and handed over full-back Marco Martin to Serie B club Pescara and brought in Matteo Legittimo from A club Lecce. Both transfers will become official on Thursday, December 29th, when the player market opens again.
