FC Südtirol before a trend-setting match against Venezia

Coach Adolfo Sormani's protégés have been unbeaten in three games and have celebrated two wins and a draw in their last few games. The FCS hasn't lost at home since October 12, 2014 - and it should stay that way after the match against Venezia. Venezia, for its part, is unbeaten in three games.

Novothny and Campo are missing

Sormani is missing suspended striker Soma Novothny and winger Alessandro Campo, who has a shoulder injury, this weekend. Davide Petermann is also no longer available to the FCS coach as he ended his involvement with FCS during the week and moved to Torres via Palermo. Sormani will rely on Cia, Fiwickeler and Marras up front, while the rest will remain unchanged. New purchaser Emanuele Allegra will be there for the first time.

In the first leg, FCS defeated Venezia away with the golden goal from Ivan Lendric, who scored inside the penalty area after a perfect pass from Branca.

So far it has been white-red versus green-orange five times. The games took place in the 2005/06 Serie C2 season and last year. The Lagunenstädter team won twice, the FCS won twice and the match ended in a draw once.

FC Südtirol before a trend-setting match against Venezia

On Sunday (14.30 p.m.) FC Südtirol hosts traditional club Unione Venezia. The ambitious club from the lagoon city is four points behind the white and red, but also has their sights set on making it into the playoffs.
