FC Südtirol wants to end the first half of the season with a win against Pro Patria

Last weekend, the FCS managed to steal three points from a distance for the first time in the current championship. Now Coach Rastelli's boys are reaching for their second win in a row to secure a position in the playoff zone of the table before the break, from which they are currently two points away.

“In San Marino we only won a single game. A very important one, as it was our first away win, but it was only one game. It was also important that we didn't concede a goal for the second game in a row. Despite all the joy, we know that this is not enough, but that we have to continue to work on ourselves in order to achieve the goals we have set. This team has great potential, I noticed that when I arrived in Bolzano. Now we have to use this potential over several games in order to continuously score points and fight our way up the table,” said Coach Rastelli.

In the last game of the first half of the season and of 2013, Mister Rastelli is likely to confirm nine regular players in their roles, who were already on the pitch in the first away win against San Marino on Sunday. The Kiem-Tagliani duo will be used in central defense. On the left wing, however, Martin and Bassoli are still fighting for space. Vassallo and Furlan line up in midfield, the latter making his XNUMXth appearance. Pederzoli is set, as is the strike duo Campo-Dell'Agnello, while coach Rastelli still has to decide between Turchetta and Corazza.

Pro Patria has been unbeaten away for five games

Third-bottom Pro Patria won the Second Division championship last year and thus returned to the third Italian league. In the summer, the club from Busto Ariszio restructured the squad and placed hopes in a lot of young players. With an average age of 22,4 years, the Lombards are the third youngest team in the championship after Feralpisalò (22,1) and Pavia (22,3).

One of the most experienced players is the 35-year-old striker and captain Matteo Serafini, who played in Serie A and B with Siena, Empoli, Catanioa, Brescia, Piacenza and Vicenza. Serafini is also the top scorer with eight goals for the team from the province of Varese, which has scored eleven goals so far this season. Pro Patria has the fourth strongest defense in the league and is unbeaten away from home in five games. Nine of the twelve points that the Lombards have in the table were won on foreign places. The team can play in full on Sunday, only the use of the injured midfielder Canzi is still up in the air.
