Leadership given away: FC Südtirol is defeated by Feralpisalò

Against the team from Lake Garda, FCS coach William Viali was able to use almost everything. Only Lomolino was not fit for action. The White-Reds' starting line-up, which played in a 4-3-3 system, included two local kickers, Fabian Tait and captain Hannes Fink. The game played along leisurely for a long time. After a quarter-hour period of scanning, FC Südtirol broke through the away defense for the first time, but Gliozzi's header went wide of the goal. As a result, the home team also struggled to find a way to counter the guests' compact defense. Bracaletti had the first chance for Feralpisalò, but the attacker clearly missed his shot. As the game progressed, the FCS became stronger and stronger. First, Furlan tested guest keeper Caglioni with a powerful shot (25'), then it was the former white and red captain again who carelessly missed from a good position (33'). The last action of the first half belonged to Feralpisalò: after a blocked shot, Romero got to the ball, but his shot easily defused goalkeeper Marcone.

Gliozzi's dream goal is not enough The second round began very similarly to the first - initially both teams largely neutralized each other. In the 57th minute, Salò caused the first upset when Romero failed with a lob to Marcone. Shortly afterwards, FC Südtirol took the lead: After a Furlan cross, Gliozzi got the ball in the penalty area and sank the assist with a wonderful overhead kick into the guests' goal - 1-0. However, the white-red lead only lasted 15 minutes. In the 74th minute, Ranellucci rose highest after a corner and somewhat surprisingly restored the stalemate. After that, Feralpisalò got better and better into the game. The green-blues showed more initiative and were rewarded for their effort in the 80th minute: troublemaker Bracaletti brought a sharp cross into the FCS penalty area, where Gerardi only had to stick his head and net the score to make it 2-1. After falling behind, FC Südtirol threw everything forward in the final phase, but Viali's troops were unable to equalize. Fink and Co. remain in the bottom midfield of the table after three match days with a score of three points.
