Fifth bankruptcy in a row: Virtus Bozen is still in dire straits

Virtus was definitely convincing in the game against Ciliverghe Mazzano – at least in the first half. After the Bolzano team had survived an initial phase of pressure from second in the table unscathed, they took control of the game into their own hands and created several good opportunities. Bucchi converted one of these opportunities to make it 35-1 in the 0th minute when he stood in the right spot after a De Simone free kick and nodded in to take the lead. Bucchi's goal was also the score at halftime.

In the second half, the guests increased the number of hits and pushed for the goal to make it 1-1. The vice-table leaders were extremely dangerous, especially when it came to set pieces - but even a penalty, which was defused by Virtus goalkeeper Tenderini, did not initially lead to an equalizer. However, the score was still 1-1: in the 71st minute, a cross from Galuppini landed at Barwuah, who headed the game back to stalemate. Shortly before the end, things got even worse for Virtus: Andriani evaded his guards when Galuppini crossed again and scored to make it 2-1. The defender's header was also the final score of the encounter.

After the fifth defeat en suite, Virtus Bozen remains in 17th place in the table. If this table constellation does not change by the 34th matchday, the Talferstadt team will have to return to the top league just one year after their first promotion to Serie D.
