The gates of the Bundesliga are opening for Max Reinthaler

A year ago, Max Reinthaler was on the verge of a move to the Bundesliga: Back then, the midfielder from Algund made a good impression in trial training at SC Freiburg. However, the German first division club was not prepared to pay training compensation to Udinese. After the deal fell through, Reinthaler played in a friendly for Red Bull Salzburg, but in the end there was no agreement with the Austrians either. Reinthaler's only emergency solution was to go into amateur sports and so he played with TSV Gersthofen in the sixth German league. Now, a year later, a dream is becoming reality: the 19-year-old Algunder has signed a four-year contract with FC Augsburg, with whom he has already played a test match.
