Football calendar of local championships presented - PDFs

The local football clubs have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the match calendar for weeks. On Tuesday the wait was finally over. The President of the South Tyrolean State Committee, Karl Rungger, presented the new calendar at a press conference in the Eberle Congress Hotel in Bolzano.

During the Oberliga There will be two South Tyrolean derbies in the first round, namely between promoted Naturns and runner-up St. Georgen, and between title contenders Virtus Don Bosco and Eppan. Home games are also scheduled for Ahrntal (against Mori) and SSV Brixen (against Mezzocorona), while Bozner FC (at Alense), Tramin (at Comano) and St. Martin (at Lavis) have to play away. Because Dro's request to be brought back to Serie D has yet to be dealt with, it remains unclear whether Rotaliana will play against Dro or Calciochiese on the first matchday.

Promoted Stories Naturns got a fantastic start, as the Grünfelder team had to play away to Tramin, last year's fourth-placed team, on the second matchday. On the fourth matchday, the yellow-blues will be guests at Mori, which is also considered by many experts to be among the contenders for promotion.

Virtus - St. Georgen on September 27th

The top game between Virtus Don Bosco and St. Georgen will take place on September 27th as part of the fifth matchday in Bolzano. In the second half of the season, the paths of the two promotion candidates will cross on February 28th.

During the Landesliga Oberliga relegated St. Pauls will host Milland on the first match day, while second promoted Salurn will be in action at SC Passeier.

A total of 192 amateur teams and 207 youth teams take part in the various football association championships. This corresponds to a total of 399 teams and an increase of five teams compared to the 2014/15 sports year. The youth activity has grown by ten teams, which President Rungger was particularly pleased about and highlighted.
