Football miracle doesn't happen: Fisch & Co. lose 0:5 against Milan

Admittedly, who didn't dream of a big surprise before the big game at San Siro, i.e. a victory for the third division team Alessandrias against the traditional club Milan? Everyone except the die-hard Milan fans. In the end, nothing came of it. Milan, who won the semi-final first leg 1-0 thanks to a Balotelli penalty, left no doubt about the winner in the second encounter, ultimately winning clearly 5-0 and are now in the final of the Tim Cup .

“Fisch” with a huge chance to take the lead Alessandria initially seemed to sense his chance - especially thanks to two actions right at the start of the game. After seven minutes, Milan striker Honda sent the ball into the Milanese night sky five meters in front of the Alessandria goal, while on the other side, Fischnelller almost scored the sensational 1-0 when he couldn't get the ball over while lying down after Marras' Stangerl pass could chip the charging Abbiati. So Milan seemed to be showing nerves while Alessandria was waiting for his chances.

At least until the 20th minute, when Honda ideally cleared his colleague Menez and the striker made it 1-0 in the finest style. The dreams and hopes were dashed. Milan now achieved success with the simplest means: Romagnoli was in the right place after a corner at the second post and pushed in to make it 2-0 (24th), Menez made everything clear before the half-time whistle after an assist from Poli (39th).

The signator's most noticeable player on his team Alessandria tried to limit the damage after the break - and thanks to their self-sacrificing style of play, they deserved a goal. Manuel Fischler in particular repeatedly caused problems for his role models. The signee acted as a striker and was therefore often on his own, but that didn't stop him from repeatedly appearing dangerously in front of Abbiati.

For example, in the 51st minute, “Fisch” was sent on his way, but his shot in the penalty area was saved by Zapata at the last moment. Ten minutes later, the 1,82 meter tall striker rose highest in the Milan penalty area and headed the ball just wide of the goal. But Filehner had the greatest opportunity of all in the 76th minute when he brought a cross towards the goal with a short contact, where De Sciglio cleared it off the line for the already beaten Abbiati. All in all, a very strong performance from Fischnelller, who was undoubtedly the most noticeable player in the ranks of Alessandria. At the end of the game, Romagnoli and Balotelli made the final score 5-0 and thus the Milan team's place in the final.
