Gareth Bale surprisingly ends his career

The 33-year-old Welshman surprisingly announced this on social media on Monday. In his career, the offensive man initially played in England for Southampton and Tottenham. In 2013, Bale moved to Spain to Real Madrid for a then record sum of 100 million euros. He won several titles with the major club, including the Champions League five times.

“After careful and careful consideration, I hereby announce my retirement from club soccer and international soccer,” wrote Bale, who most recently played for Los Angeles FC in the North American MLS. However, as in previous seasons, his playing times were manageable. Before moving to the USA, Bale made a brief comeback on loan for Tottenham.

With Wales he fulfilled his dream of taking part in the World Cup; the “Dragons” ended in Qatar after the group phase. Bale's ideas were cautious. After the World Cup exit, he initially announced that he would continue to be available to the team. The striker now asserted that the decision to withdraw from the national team was “by far the hardest of my career”.

Since the World Cup, he has been a record national player in the Welsh team with 111 appearances, and his 41 goals are also a record. Bale first played for Wales as a 16-year-old.

The Welsh FA said Bale was not only the national team's most capped player and record goalscorer, "but is also considered the greatest international player of all time due to his achievements for club and country over his illustrious career."
