Green light for third club competition

“Subject to the approval of the UEFA Executive Committee, the 'green light' has been given,” the chairman of the powerful club association said on Tuesday during the ECA general meeting in Split. From the 2021/2022 season, 96 clubs will play internationally. A “final decision on the future of the club competitions” is expected “by the end of the year,” the ECA wrote in a press release. This year, the UEFA Exco will meet in Nyon on September 27th and in Dublin on December 3rd.
