The team from Lake Garda, one of this season's title contenders, is visiting Bolzano. In the table, the Green-Blues, like the FCS, are in the middle of the table with three points. An exciting game is therefore inevitable. The match marks the start of an English week, as the white-reds face Bassano away on Wednesday, while the evening game against Forlì will take place next Saturday (kick-off 20.30 p.m.).

“We want to forget what was certainly an unfortunate defeat against Gubbio. Last week a draw would certainly have been fairer as we always had our opponents under control. We have to build on the positive performance. Why positive? The team showed a certain level of cohesion in Gubbio that I would not have expected after two games,” says coach William Viali before the showdown with the club from Salò.

Lomolino is out - Cia for Furlan?

The FCS trainer has to do without left-back Lomolino. There is, however, a fight for a regular place in two positions. Either Sarzi or Baldan plays in defense, while Cia Furlan could replace in midfield.

Feralpisalò is a club very similar to FC Südtirol. The “Gardesani” will be competing in the third Italian league for the sixth consecutive year. In the last two years they finished just ahead of the FCS in the table: in the 2014/15 season Feralpi placed 6th and in the 2015/16 season they were 8th. The blue-greens also took part in the play-offs, and in the 2013/14 season.

Radical renovation at Feralpisalò

Nevertheless, the sporting leadership decided in the summer to largely change the squad. Starting with the coach, who this season goes by the name Antonino Asta. The former Serie A player at FC Torino and coach of Monza, Bassano and Lecce is expected to lead Feralpisalò to a top position. In addition, players such as Gambaretti from Cremonese, Aquilanti from Virtus Lanciano, Turano from AC Milan's Primavera and Ruffini from Pro Piacenza (28 appearances and 1 goal last season in the Pro Piacenza jersey) joined Feralpisalò in defense. In midfield, Guido Davì, Bassano's leading player in recent years, and Staiti, under contract with Virtus Entella in Serie B for the last two years, should provide the necessary quality. In attack, however, they rely on the Serie B proven Federico Gerardi.

The FCS - Feralpi match has a derby character. The two teams have met eleven times so far, with the white-reds just ahead in the statistics. The South Tyroleans prevailed four times, the Brescians won three times and the game ended in a draw four times. This was also the case in both matches last season. There was a goalless draw at the Drusus Stadium, and Tulli equalized 1-1 in Salò.
