The ball is rolling again in the league: Salurn welcomes Brixen

After the defeat in the cup final against Fersina, the Unterlanders want to cause a sensation again in the league with a win over Brixen. After the 16th matchday they are in promising second place in the table, three points behind Fersina. Accordingly, the yellow-reds acted cautiously on the transfer market in the winter: Salurn only announced one new signing, the 18-year-old Aurer Marcel Gabalin, who most recently played in Mezzocorona's Beretti team. Table leader Fersina will be visiting bottom team Bozen 96 on Sunday, who in turn urgently need points to reduce the points gap to second-to-last Levico. As expected, the traditional club from the state capital completely revamped its squad in the winter months.

St. Georgen did not need such a change. The Pustertal team impressed in the first half of the season with no-frills and successful football, and this will now continue in the spring. The “Jörgina” are missing two important key players on Sunday against Albiano: the suspended Bernhard Unterpertinger and the injured top scorer Hansi Mair.

Obermais would like to at least partially forget the botched first half of the season with a win in Rovereto on Sunday, while Naturns wants to score a break at home against Mori in the relegation battle. The weakened SSV Ahrntal and FC Eppan, however, will be visiting Alense and Levico at the start of the second half of the season.
