Superstar Rapinoe leads US girls to world title

The record world champion defeated the European champions in the World Cup final in Lyon Italy conqueror Netherlands earned 2-0 and underlined their dominance with their next triumph after 1991, 1999 and 2015.

In front of 57.900 spectators at the Stade de Lyon, Rapinoe (thigh problem) returned to the US starting eleven as captain after her forced break in the semi-final against England (2-1).
