AS Meran Women has great ambitions

Many would have liked a South Tyrolean derby in the women's Serie C, but SSV Brixen backed out in the summer and "only" signed up for the Oberliga - which, by the way, starts on September 11th.

This means that the newly founded AS Meran Women, which achieved promotion as FC Obermais last season and had a dream season, is the only South Tyrolean team in Serie C. There is no lack of ambition in the league either.
