With two game days to go, Meran Women is still in second place in the Serie C table, but has to be careful. After the 1-1 draw against Jesina at the weekend, the Passerstadt women are only 2 points ahead of Lumezzane.

In the final spurt of the season, Meran has to give everything again to defend second place. After the defeat against Lumezzane two weeks ago, the Lombards have come close to Andrea Campolattano's team and, according to the table, also have the easier remaining program against Villorba and bottom team Sambenedettese. Meran, on the other hand, still has to play against champions Bologna and Padova.

Against Jesina, Meran took the lead thanks to defender Gaia Vuerich's fourth goal of the season. Anna Katharina Peer extended a free kick to Vuerich, who headed it in (4'). However, the equalizer came in the 19th minute when Crocioni took advantage of a slip by Turrini and slotted in after a cross. After that there were only a few chances left, top scorer Nadine Nischler (she already has 35 goals) could have made it 33-2 in stoppage time, but failed because of Jesina goalkeeper Generali.
